Samantha was bought to be a pony for my kids. She is a really solid minded mare and would be a great amateur or youth show horse. We have driven her a few times this summer, and she is easy to hook (have done it by myself) and she just walks off. She is very broke, however was started a road prospect and still needs a little more softening if you chose to take her to the pleasure world. She has a big open gait – I can see why that thought of her as road potential. She will be in a full trot (rarely breaks to a lope) out in the pasture when other ponies and big horses are running. She is soft in her face, and easy to be around. I have tossed Wyatt on her and lead her around, she didn’t even flinch. Aubrie brushes her regularly, and she gives pony cart rides at the end of her work.
I have a 2 year old mare out of her, and she is one I am going to do my best to hold on to if time and finances will allow. I hope to have her hooked this fall and in the show ring next year. Really pretty mare that has really caught my fancy.
